Title: Ramps to Close on U.S. 95 from Ann Road to Durango Drive Sunday Night

Story Text:

Las Vegas – On Sunday, July 20, the Nevada Department of Transportation will be closing the eastbound 215 on ramp from northbound U.S. 95, the westbound 215 on ramp from U.S.95 and the Buffalo Drive off ramp from northbound U.S.95 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.  Ramps will reopen to motorists on Monday, July 21 at 5 a.m.  The closures are to prepare for the inside and outside widening of U.S. 95 from Ann Road to Durango Drive.  Motorists should slow down, and heed all traffic control devices.

In addition, lane shifts will take place on northbound U.S. 95 on Sunday evening.  Motorists should continue to expect nightly lane closures from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. each night throughout the duration of the project.

The closures are part of the U.S. 95 Northwest Corridor Improvements Project, which is a joint effort between NDOT, the Federal Highway Administration, the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada, Clark County and the City of Las Vegas.  Phase 2A of the project will widen U.S. 95 from Ann Road to Durango Drive.  The project cost for this phase is $35.7 million.  Las Vegas Paving is the general contractor on this project.
