Title: I-15 Closures Wednesday at U.S. 93 for Fiberoptic Repairs
LAS VEGAS - The Nevada
Department of Transportation will implement traffic restrictions from 9 p.m. to
1 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12, on I-15 at U.S. 93 (Great Basin Highway) to repair
fiber optic cables. The closures will be in effect in both directions on I-15.
The Nevada Highway Patrol will be stopping traffic for 15-minute intervals
twice for each direction. Motorists are expected to heed all traffic control
devices. Please expect delays in the area.

Established in 1917, the Nevada Department
of Transportation is responsible for the planning, construction, operation and
maintenance of 5,400 miles of highway and more than 1,000 bridges comprising
the state highway system. NDOT's mission is to provide a better transportation
system for Nevada through unified and dedicated efforts. The department is
divided into three districts. The districts are responsible for supervising all
state transportation activities within their local areas. NDOT's headquarters
is located in Carson City; district offices are in Las Vegas, Reno and Elko.
