Title: Flooding Forces Alternate Routes In, Around, Out of Laughlin

Story Text:

SOUTHERN NEVADA - U.S. 95 is closed at State Route 163 due to flooding in California near Interstate 40. Laughlin residents and motorists in the area need to seek alternate routes including U.S. 95 in Bullhead/Fort Mohave, Ariz., towards I-40 and Topock, Ariz. Motorists traveling from Searchlight can use SR164 towards I-15 to go to California, U.S. 95 north to go to Las Vegas or U.S. 95 south to SR163 to reach Laughlin. Motorists traveling between Laughlin and Needles, Calif., can reach Arizona Highway U.S. 95 (in Arizona) from the Laughlin Bridge, or via the Aha Macav Parkway to the Veterans Memorial Bridge to Aztec Road.

NDOT strives to provide current information about construction schedules and highway and roadway restrictions and closures. Unscheduled restrictions and closures may occur and weather can impact work schedules. For the latest information on Nevada highway conditions, call 5-1-1 or log on to Nevada 511.
