NBPAB Meeting

The next NBPAB meeting will be held on September 15th, 2015 at 8:30am. Meeting we be held at the Nevada Department of Transportation District I office, Materials/Testing Conf. Room, 123 East Washington Ave, Las Vegas, Nevada. It will also be video conferenced to Nevada Department if Transportation's North Annex Facility, Conference Room 112, 1301 Old Hot Springs Road, Carson City, NV.  To obtain a copy of the agenda click here for September Meeting agenda.


The Nevada Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Board (NBPAB) was created by the State Legislature to:

  • Promote programs and facilities for the safe use of bicycles and pedestrian safety in this State
  • Advise appropriate agencies of the State on policies, programs and facilities for the safe use of bicycles and pedestrian safety

It consists of 14 members appointed by the Governor. Seven members represent pre-determined segments of Nevada's bicycle and pedestrian stakeholders. The remaining seven members represent State agencies who's overview relates to bicycling and walking.

The NBPAB is not part of the Department of Transportation as it is advisory to all State agencies. The Department of Transportation provides secretarial and coordination functions for the Board.

Share The Road License Plate

The use of funds derived from the "Share the Road" plate will be available through a competitive grant program. The Nevada Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Board will select recipients for the following:


-Initiation, Promotion, and Support of the Bicycle & Pedestrian Safety Education Programs
-Financial Support for the Planning and Construction of Bicycle & Pedestrian facilities
-Community-Based -Bicycle Pedestrian Projects and Programs
-Bicycle/Pedestrian Safety Outreach
