Draft Environmental Impact Statement
The following Draft Environmental Impact Study was completed in a
cooperative effort between the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), the
Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) and the Regional Transportation
Commission of Washoe County (RTC).
The purpose of this study is to
identify and evaluate transportation improvements along the Pyramid Highway
(State Highway 445) corridor located in the Northeast Truckee Meadows area.
The improvements considered address the regional movement of people and
goods; relieve traffic congestion on Pyramid Highway; and provide improved
east-west community connectivity between United States Highway 395 (US
395), Pyramid Highway, and Vista Boulevard.
RTC is the project
sponsor and is responsible for overseeing the environmental study and the
preliminary engineering performed as part of the study. For more detailed
information please open the PDF files below which include the full
study and companion appendices. Due to the large size of the files,
the Study and the appendices were separated into the two files.
